I’m dissatisfied with the current state of affairs, but I don’t envy Biden’s position here, or any US president’s. That area of the world has been a shitshow before any of us were born and will likely remain so after we’re dead, especially with climate change to throw a grenade into things.
I do believe he’s doing the best he can with the shit hand he has to play, but the problem is that the entire game is fucking stupid to begin with.
Waiting for goalposts to be moved now that he has called for immediate ceasefire. I’m sure everyone hating on Biden will now say this isn’t close to enough and they still won’t vote for him until XYZ occurs (spoiler alert, they won’t vote for him then either).

The headline is misleading. Biden said that they are working on a deal for the release of hostages and a 6 week ceasefire. Watch the video, don’t read the headline. He’s not forcing Israel to stop. Everything is contingent on having a deal that involves releasing hostages and the ceasefire is only temporary.
