  1. Just posting this as there was a discussion recently but cba finding it to reply but I had actually emailed them prior to that post – hopefully things maybe get a move on now the (fragile) assembly is up and working…for the time being 😆😂

  2. The 2016 stuff mostly makes sense iirc, I did read the whole thing once, but that was… 5 years ago+-. It’s far less totally-shite than the current legislation.

But 2016 was 8 years ago and there’s zero evidence it’s made progress towards becoming law.

  3. Sure 2016 was only 2 years ago so I’m sure it won’t be too long until they change it

  4. Removing the 45 mph restriction only makes sense with more stringent testing and restricted driving periods. Lots of new (mostly young male) drivers lose the books straight out of the gate because they can’t follow simple rules.

Hopefully the changes come soon and hopefully they reduce road deaths!

  5. So they’ll make you keep your (redesigned) R plate on the car for 2 years now, but you won’t be restricted to 45mph any more… but will be restricted on the number of passengers you can take in the car. Plus you have to have been taking lessons for at least 6 months? How would they enforce that? Are instructors going to have to provide proof you’ve been doing lessons for 6 months with them?

  6. Lol never going to happen unless insurance companies back it and they want the money
