If it’s related to his departure? (He pauses) I repeat: sooner or later he won’t play with us anymore. We have to get used to it. »

  1. no one is untouchable in world football.

even Lionel Fucking Messi was benched by Luis Enrique.

The whole world was in outrage for it too 😂

  2. If he even said he took Mbappe out because he wasn’t playing well that’s one thing, but this reasoning makes no sense to me and seems like a lie. Soler is as good as gone this summer and he played 85 minutes…

I feel like this is just making useless drama before an important match. We’re going to have a new midfield in the summer and maybe new defense and a lot of current players will leave. We can wait in the summer, or at least till after UCL to do this.

  3. I’m ready to get downvoted but i swear we never had a more toxic player outside the pitch. Just the way he handled his substitution at half… Literally the resume of his behavior here, when something doesn’t go his way he will make sure everybody knows by making a scene that will get talked about on every media for the weeks to come. Like he does every 3months since his unfp speech.

  4. I hope that the reason for benching him was that he was in some discomfort and Luis didn’t want to take any risks before the CL game. Or that he just wasn’t planning on playing Kylian the whole game because we have a important CL game next week. Either of those scenarios should be okay for whatever player it is. If Mbappe just out of pure rage and selfishness did what he did just to give back to Luis then I really can’t stand by him. I wish him well in the future and all but that is absolutely not okay to disrespect a club that has done eveything for him since he arrived to Paris. I really really hope that there’s some other explanation behind all of this and that we are just jumping to conclusions. Wouldn’t the coach usually talk to players before hand and tell him that IF you are leaving the club, then for the rest of the season he will have to give other players some additional playing time when there is an opportunity? I have a hard time believing that Luis just out of nowhere subs out Mbappe and hasn’t spoken to him before hand. If he has informed Mbappe about it, then this just makes it 10 times worse and more childish.

  5. I don’t care what he does just think it’s annoying that this is news when the game is basically an after thought. No one is talking about the game anymore. No clue what to expect going into the 2nd leg.

  6. Can’t say I’m fond of PSG’s football right now. But we’re getting similar results to last year and the one before that (even better in the league) with a lot of young players Luis Enrique really tries to give confidence to : Barcola, WZE, Beraldo now, Vitinha (although he also got plenty of play time last year).

And on top of that, when Mbappe slows the game, plays on his own, doesn’t contribute defensively, he puts him on the bench. I think “we need to learn to play without him”, while true, is also mostly an excuse.

There’s no denying that Mbappe is exceptionnal. His shooting technique is out of this world, and he’s confident in his skills. Even if he unbalances the team, you probably have more to gain by having him on the pitch because of how good he is as a goal scorer. But LE isn’t here to win now, he’s here to build something. And so I like his decision and support him.

Again, not super convinced by the team’s football, although Dembele missing is hugely to blame, but that’ not all that matters in a project long term oriented.

  7. Coach showing who is boss, love to see it. No player is above the club.
