  1. On the one hand I did enjoy the early spring weather and not feeling like February was so cold I couldn’t go outside most days.

On the other hand, I realise this is probably not a good thing long term…

  2. Maybe February is now just self identifying as March? I think we should support it.

  3. Line 1:

    > Last month was the warmest February in England and Wales since records began in 1884, the Met Office has said.

    Line 2:

    >The mean temperature across the whole of the UK was 6.3C (43.3F), the **second** warmest February for the whole country since the last record of 6.8C (44.2F) was set in 1998.

So the headline is false then?

  4. You’ll get no arguments from me. Now if we could also have a dry summer that’d be great.

  5. Found it quite depressing personally. Temperatures were often low enough to be uncomfortable, but then not low enough for a nice fresh/picturesque frost. It’s just been a month of grey 8 degree weather

  6. I can’t recall a single frosty morning this winter.

  7. Everything is fine guys, don’t look at the fire getting bigger and bigger every year. Profits are going up!! Don’t worry about it !

  8. Wettest February I can remember in the Fens since i moved here. Parts of it are being reclaimed as a swamp…

  9. Not saying it’s wrong but it’s been freezing where I live, especially the night time.

  10. Wait until people see the ocean temperature charts. Maybe then the scale and speed of the problem might be better realised.

  11. I for one look forward to being able to grow avocados in my garden. The millions of people either killed or displaced by the changing climate are a small price to pay for my convenience

  12. It’s been so mild I’ve been out in the garden digging my new pond, didn’t even need a jumper on most days as it was surprisingly warm when the sun was out.

  13. It’s been like a 6 month autumn and that follows a wash out of a summer too 🤮

  14. global warming is a good thing, rather that than the opposite, the myth of a stable temperature is a fairy tale.

  15. Apparently we failed to notice that due our no heating, it’s been so cold most of the time we haven’t needed to turn our fridge on, food can just sit out on the side and it stays fresh, so long as the black mold doesn’t get to it.

  16. Feel like no matter what it’s just been grey and miserable. Maybe a couple of days where it was warm and not too bad, but on the whole I’m pretty fed up with it now.

  17. Didn’t bloody feel like it but that’s cos most of us can’t afford heating these days

  18. Not great at maths but as far as I can tell using a percentage calculator website 188 years out of 4543000000, records cover 0.0000041382346467092225% of the earths history. It’s a bit of a small sample isn’t it?

  19. Have you tried: not protesting the construction of Windmills, solar farms, and Nuclear Powerplants (I’m taking aim at you with the last one, Greenpeace)?

  20. It was one of the wettest on record near me, something that has only become more common over the last five years, with 2020 and 2022 being similar. Climate change means more extreme weather events and moire records being set every year. Our weather is likely to get less predictable as time goes on and that is going to have ramifications.

  21. Every month from now feels like we will break a record of sorts. It makes me so nervous foe the future; my kids future.

  22. Was it balls I was freezing my tits off the entire month.

  23. Interesting. I remember in 2020 we had a couple of day of 20+ We never cam close to that this year, we had like one warm afternoon that carried the promise of spring but that was barely 15C.
