Off to work to produce the new Council Tax bills. No need to thank me.
Nothing. Its my birthday on Tuesday so weve got the week off, but i really dont want it to be my birthday, im fed up.
Going sledging! A kids birthday party. Formula 1.
Once the kids are back from swimming, football, and that they are clean and fed, we will be crafting their costume for world book day.
Big warhammer release today so I’ll be building and painting
Yesterday, I drilled a hole into the birch tree in the garden to collect the sap. Looks like I have a full 5 litres in the container collected overnight. Looking forward to sampling it for a tasty beverage and reducing some of it down to make syrup. Not going out to collect it just yet as it’s arsing it down outside.
I don’t often go out these days, but when I do I regret it the next day. Up with the kids at 6am, youngest has just had the worst nappy I’ve ever seen. Ngl I’m gonna throw up soon.
Off to soft play for the kids 8th birthday. Been a shit week mentally so looking forward to a drop slide or two!
Horrible cough has given me a sore throat!
Finally got a couple of nights off. Would have been four but got jiffed to do a couple of online courses on Monday. Gonna go home soon, jump on the exercise bike for 30 minutes, have myself two boiled eggs and a bit of a kip. Got loads of radio to catch up on and still plenty of rigging to do on the model ship. Starting Bram Stoker’s Dracula tonight as it occurred to me earlier in the week that I’d never read it. Happy weekend my casual friends.
I’m going to a pinball museum and a birthday party
bit of an exciting event as its the first birthday party of a native I’ve been invited to (I’m living abroad atm). Integration skillls
Fuck I’m gonna have to speak so much bloody dutch
Just finished a nice ham and cheese omelette, now I’m getting ready to go to work.
Taking the kids into town to see a new van gogh exhibition (I live in Sevilla)
Then onto Dune 2
Can’t wait.. quite giddy for a nearly 50 year old
I’ve been on my own all week with work in Paris in possibly the worst hotel/prison. So this weekend is about savouring my own bed , cuddling my dog about a million times and being around my wife as much possible as I’ve missed all three so much.
Woke up in time to watch the start of the WEC race and the F3/2/1 triple header, and got jump scared by what looks to be about two inches of snow outside my window.
Got woken up by the dog barking because she has no self control, and now I’m on my way to work
Husband specifically requested that he be left to wake up naturally this morning. It is currently snowing. I am having to restrain myself from bursting into the bedroom singing “Do you wanna build a snowman?”
Picking up my car!!! Took it in on Wednesday to have the bodywork fixed and it’s ready to collect at 10am today. Very excited to have it back and not look like a bloody mess.
Once I’ve done that, I’m going to carry on playing FF7:Remake and maybe some Helldivers 2
I’ve had a rather challenging week, so I’m not planning to do much today besides shopping. I’m in that “I want something nice for dinner but I’m really not sure what to get” kind of mood. I’m rather spoilt for choice at the big Sainsbury’s. I might browse their sushi counter. It’s not cheap, but it’s decent quality.
Exhausted. Was only in work two days but they were busy ones, and I spent my days off doing a combination of walking (to call it hiking seems a stretch but >10 miles in muddy countryside) and sorting out mortgage application / solicitors / etc. after our offer on a flat got accepted. Very exciting but also very new and a bit daunting lol
So, chill day today. It’s the dog’s birthday next week so, being the DINKs we are, we of course ordered him a custom dog-friendly birthday cake – so picking that up this afternoon. Then will probably rewatch Dune in anticipation of probably seeing Dune 2 next week.
Probably a couple of dog walks, some light cleaning and an escape room tonight.
Really needed after a hellish week
For the last three days it’s hammered down so hard that the dog literally took a look out the door, gave me a “fuck that” look, and headed back to bed. So today she needs a walk whether she likes it or not.
Then trying to maintain sanity while taking wife and kids clothes shopping. They hate it, I hate it, none of us want to do it, but they all desperately need new gear so it’s unavoidable.
Driving to Anglesey
Just arrived in France and have already managed to embarrass myself in deux boulangerie trying to order in my appalling French
F1 is back, woo! Unfortunately I’m a Ricciardo fan so I’m probably in for another year of pain.
I have to take the youngest to a soft play party. Googled the place since I’ve never been there and a lot of the recent reviews mention how grubby it is. Great.
Curry tonight though, looking forward to that already.
