  1. The fact that Kompany defended that declining Pellegrini team to concede just one single goal (which in itself was a fluke Fernando OG) over two legs of a CL semi-final against Real Madrid alongside a defense of Clichy, Sagna and Mangala, but received no recognition for it is sad.

i will die on the hill that Vincent Kompany is top two if not the best center back in premier league history. if his hamstrings weren’t made out of rubber, he would be the clear best. kompany is a cursed man. the amount of injuries which could’ve easily psyched him out, his level could’ve dropped and many other factors that come with the amount of injuries he faced. and yet the moment he came back from injury he easily slotted back into the team and was a brick wall.

  2. The one that got away.

Yaya out for the first match, El Mago out for the second…

Defense did their job, we just couldn’t create anything.

  3. This tie was an indication of where we were at, quality, performance and mentality wise.

Pep came and changed that and I’m forever grateful.

Shoutout to Kompany, KDB and Aguero in the second leg.
