Republicans need to be seriously concerned about their deal with the devil. Fear is a strong motivator, but anger is even stronger.

I gotta say, I’m angry and disgusted by what these people are trying to do, and I’m not going to stop doing my part or anything, and I don’t want to be a “doomer”, but deep down, I’m pretty gravely worried that a Republican takeover in the 2024 election is inevitable, and I don’t know what to do with myself after that. I don’t want to live in that fucked up version of America, but I don’t think relocation is possible for me, and I also don’t feel I could contribute in any way to any sort of uprising. So, I don’t know what my “plan B” is, and that is giving me some pretty serious anxiety.
We should be calling, writing and emailing every major news outlet and demanding they cover this nationally.
That’s very true. Its evil twin is the Federalist Society. The upcoming election is about the survival of freedom, equality, and democracy in America.
And what’s worse, this is what their voters want. Their voters are not committed to the idea of democracy. They are committed to seeing their values enshrined into law.
Even if only 50 million people won’t stand for it and only one in ten, can do anything about it that’s still 5 million really pissed off Americans. Most all of them armed, with cars, trucks and debit cards mobilized to restore the USA we all took for granted. Even though 5 million out of 355 million isn’t that many, it’s still an army with 5 million soldiers. We won’t go down peacefully!
This is going to be an incredibly unpopular opinion and heavily downvoted, but I hope that Trump wins and project 2025 goes forward. The past few decades laid the groundwork for this fascist takeover and the majority of our politicians if they weren’t actively involved in its foundation they did nothing to combat it. The US government has done as much as possible to crush leftist ideals that benefit all of the working class who built this country; at the behest of the billionaires that robbed all of that labor value and used that money to buy the government. Democracy died not because of a lack of voters, but because those in office did nothing to defend it. Donald Trump literally conducted a terrorist attack in an attempt to remain in office after being voted out, and not only was he not handcuffed that day; he likely will be voted back in. This country is beyond saving but maybe if it collapses due to the GOP and Project 2025; maybe a better one can be reformed. More likely though, we will have a real life Republic of Gilead.
Democrats and Liberals cry for votes and then wonder why people stop voting for them when they are voted in office and do nothing to help the working class and further Republican policies. America is a Plutocracy and it won’t matter how many citizens’ rights are stripped away as long as profits and shareholder value continue to increase.
How on earth is this happening? How are there not checks and balances to block anti-democratic and anti-constitutional protections?

Anyone voting for Trump is voting to end the United States as we know it. Any progress that has been made in the last 100-150 years will be gone. I may not be Biden’s biggest fan, but the alternate is much much much worse. Voting for Trump is going to be a decision we not be allowed to regret.

Both my parents immigrated here from Yugoslavia. A couple weeks ago, my mom was telling me what the conditions were like under Tito. She’s extremely worried. She doesn’t want to experience it again. Also most of my family supports Trump even though they lived in Yugoslavia. Its all racism and thinking they’ll be part of the in crowd.
The streets will run with blood if trump gets in office. You thought George Floyd riots were bad .

They are quite determined aren’t they? You wonder with this type of vigor, what is to be gained from all this? Money, power, the pure ego-driven sense of having control over a populace? I feel like in every single one of these discussions, you can tie it back to some multi-millionaire or billionaire who wants more. Greed is a curse and it needs to be checked, hard. This is a proxy war between the haves and the have nots. We need to stop all this. This divide. This is working really well for the haves. It sounds crazy to say, and cynics eyes will roll out of their heads, but the left and right have to come together on this. We have to. If we don’t, all is lost and the haves won. There needs to be something to bring us together and close the divide. We are stronger together, always.
