Interesting. It was top of the RTE News on Radio 1 this morning and as expected one salient point was omitted…
Slash hook plus incident should help An Gardai figure this one out
Does the use of slash hooks indicate that this was more of a cultural incident, as opposed to just regular scumbags.
Tis no regency, ill give it that.
You shouldn’t be allowed to buy a slash hook if you don’t have an Eir code.
There has been a prevalence of that particular “culture/demographic”affiliated with boxing clubs all over the country.
Goes hand in hand these days.
It was not the first boxing event that saw kids fleeing and screaming unfortunately.

I could make a jab at a boxing pun here, but I’m stuck for a decent punchline..
Cultural storming, nothing to see here
As always RTE having to heavily imply why this happened rather than outright state it.
Culture boss.
I wonder if some nomadic people are involved
This is what happens when violent organised crime gangs are labelled (and policed) as victims.
Slash hooks at a boxing event in Roscommon? This one has the Belgians written all over it
Probably that pesky minority giving the rest a bad name as usual
Slash hooks you say….
I wonder if the idea that it was a kids event even crossed their minds or gave them second thoughts.
There’s a special kind of feudal hatred in attacks like they.
I’d imagine it’ll be nice lenient sentences for everyone…maybe even suspended sentences.
Wasn’t it traveller ethnicity celebration day yesterday? Nice timing.
Our ethnic brethern at it again.
Pur didcrimoniaikn sir das all tis
It always amazes me how blunt their “tools” are. They must waste a lot of energy and produce sub par work. I remember one video where a gentleman was struck 7 times with an axe and didnt even require hospitalisation. Its shocking really, there should be a tool sharpening course made available so they can better results.
A children’s Boxing quarter final.
1 man was targeted.
By 5 people wearing Balaclavas
It’s just their culture!
There probably weren’t happy because the boxers were wearing gloves and not fighting bareknuckle with a small touch of biting!
They probably were also schooling the kids on how to make callout videos issuing challenges and before the event.

Fans bring the weapons match?
Just looked at rte news there and no mention of slash hooks etc.
