  1. No doubt he thought it was another “work event”, his stock answer to everything, along with”Brmmm Brmmm”, “immigrants” and “BBC”.

  2. What excuse is he going to use this time? Book club, except since his is an E-Book copy he didn’t take it with him?

    Maybe he went through his wardrobe, into the fridge that’s in there, and emerged at the party instead of Narnia as he had hoped?

    His pizza delivery was taking too long so he tried to track down the aide who put in the order?

    There was an earthquake everywhere EXCEPT 10 Downing St, in the party venue?

  8. All this and the other stuff that has gone on and yet we still have to wait for him to announce his resignation. Yet if this were you or I and we had acted in similar ways with our approach to work, we would have been sacked.

    The system needs to change, it is little more than a joke.

  9. I am surprised that Starmer didn’t ask him at PMQs if there were any other events he should declare. That would have put him on the spot.

  10. I know it’s likely to be just another backstabbing Tory leader wannabe, but I just have to applaud whoever it is that’s drip-feeding these to the press, one by one. It’s a fucking magnificent strategy that’s pummelling Johnson into the ground.

    Just a shame that we’ll almost certainly end up with an even more right wing PM at the end of it.

Over here in the states thinking this has really must got Boris sweating: they probably still have another two months of this methodical onslaught on deck so he can never actually catch his footing as the man probably threw “work events” multiple times a week. Then thinking “oh crap they have a parliamentary style it should probably be easier to get rid of him” but remembering that conservatives the world over have gone into a complete fantasy world divorced from reality so, Good luck.

    – OK I was there and I knew it was a party

    – no it was just one….honestly.
