Think its time everybody just stops having kids until they figure this out on how to deal with them when they become little shits doing crime. Like entire country kids of similar age as these are nothing but a problem, menace to society. Having a kid means your kid will either be beaten or beat some other kid.

Worth noting that according to the article, four of the teens were dealt with under the Juvenile Diversion Programme. It’s also worth noting that the Government are planning on extending the age eligibility of that programme from 18 to 24.
I would argue that such a change would likely have the single most adverse impact on anti-social behaviour in decades compared to any other justice policy change taken by the State, yet no one is talking about it.
Everyone should be having their say on this matter, particularly if you are currently impacted by anti-social behaviour by those under the age of 18. It will likely get a whole lot worse when those engaging in such behaviour can now do so without any meaningful repercussion until they hit 24 years of age.
This change will have a profound impact on the criminal justice system and on ordinary people’s lives.
So unfair. And now the poor guy is re-traumatised. The lack of enforcement of law and order and civility is really one of the worst aspects of Irish society, and it’s becoming worse.

Wasn’t there a young lad down in Waterford or Wexford who had acid thrown on him and they got the diversion program too. It’s a massive fuck you too a victim imo in cases like these, don’t get me wrong I can see situations where they might be the right call but not in these.
I’m fed up with vicious scum getting raps on the knuckles while victims suffer for the rest of their lives.
This won’t stop until there are serious consequences to their behaviour and consequences for their parents.
Give the parents fines equal to fifty percent of their annual income and if they’re on benefits, slash them by fifty percent for a year. They’ll miraculously find an ability to parent when they’re held responsible for the consequences of their refusal to do so.
The video didn’t really show it was a homophobic attack. Was it the family that made that claim?
