  2. I wonder how many times hamas needs to reject the ceasefires offered to them before the leftists douchebags out there will admit that the sole purpose of hamas is to blow up the entire region and make everyone suffering.

Hamas seems to be very comfortable hiding in its tunnel system. which seems to indicate to me that either it is way more stocked and fortified than we think OR the tunnel system actually has a safe exit somewhere that they can use at any time. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a tunnel exit somewhere in the Sinai or even in Israel itself. Coupled with the fact Hamas doesn’t seem to care at all about the civilians, that means they are under no pressure at all to ever come to a ceasefire agreement.

  9. Pro-Palestine crowd condemned Israel for rejecting that joke Hamas proposal that would give them practically everything they want: Terrorists in Israeli prisons to strengthen themselves, reconstruction of hospitals that Hamas used as military bases and only releasing hostages after months.

    Then Hamas rejected several other proposals, including proposals made by neutral parties that would benefit both sides and that crowd didn’t say a single word or continue to remember Hamas’ proposal that Israel rejected.

    Ceasefire Now, but only if it is the proposal that benefits Hamas…

  11. Why do we keep acting like we are negotiating with a rational actor? They can’t be negotiated with, reasoned with, they want all Jews dead, all the land, and a holy war. Their mission statement literally has a rule about no negotiating. So god damn dumb. The left has a hard time dealing with the fact when the other side isn’t negotiating in good faith. Happens here in the states all the time and republicans use it to walk all over democrats and they never get it. Frustrating

  12. If Hamas rejects this deal, which they will, you can be sure that there are barely any hostages alive at this point.

  15. Israel constantly agrees to sane cease-fires and Hamas almost always refuses, then always breaks the few it does agree to.

    It is pretty damn clear which side wants a war and which side does not.

  17. What will a cease-fire accomplish? How many has there been over the decades? Everyone wants a fight, let them fight. How many peace conferences do we need? The Camp David accords were an enormous step toward peace, and Sadat was assassinated for it. A dozen nations are playing shadow games teasing a war. Maybe its best for them to lay their cards down now. Ceasfires and sanctions are worthless.

Tomorrow if a headline comes that “Russia has decided on a ceasefire framework, now Ukraine must decide”, I hope the comments are similar, and not on the actual merits of the ceasefire and what they mean for Ukraine and any long lasting advantage to Ukraine, but because one side has agreed on a ceasefire with its ally, it should be agreed, otherwise Ukraine is evil.

    Hamas won’t take the deal, from their pov things are going very well. All they need now is to drag surrounding countries into the conflict, so they’re probably waiting for after US elections to decide anything

  28. I’m sure there’s plenty of poison pills in the agreement that they’re fully aware Hamas will never agree to, but this way they can pretend like they’re trying to do anything other than eradicate Palestineans.

  29. I mean they might take this deal but its still just an offer to pause things. Hamas has been pretty fucking clear that their position is that a full withdrawal by Israel is a non negotiable requirement. Im not going to pretend to be shocked and outraged when Hamas rejects deals that don’t include their non negotiables.

  38. I’m sure the framework is fair to the Gazans and doesn’t at all encourage a continued apartheid that Israel will insist isn’t it.
