    …no, really, according to one of the Dublin Zoo~keepers who looked after him for years, Sibu was in big demand on the register of mating orangutans, worldwide, like, the register is sort of a Tinder for primates! Orangutan ladys funkin’ at Sibu’s door 24/7… way to go dude…!!!

  3. If you worked near his enclosure,ie had to fix a gate near him. No wash policy for a week prior. If he smelled deodorant or aftershave off you he would spit big gulliers at you. 

  4. He was aggressive because thats what orangutans become when you lock them up. Putting any animal that roams up to 25 kilometers a day in the wild into captivity will drive them demented. In captivity they develop and display abnormal behaviours that are not seen in the wild such as pacing up and down their pen and rocking back and forth in an effort to cope with their confinement. It is the exact same behaviour that is observed of humans when they are locked up in mental asslyum institutions, abandoned children in orphanages can also be seen rocking back and forth.

    Elephants are so stressed in zoos that they die 20-30 years before elephants in the wild do. These animals want to roam their territory and behave naturally, not act as a temporary source of entertainment for humans.

  6. I wonder if it was that same orangutang who rescued a little girls doll from the water, climbed over the crowd on a rope and ripped apart the doll, dropping the stuffing down in them

  9. when I was about six we went and my dad was pointing at him and saying he looked like my mother to piss her off and he threw his shite at him.

    edit: Shibu threw his shite at my dad, would have been hilarious if it was the other way round though too…
