  1. ***Satellite photos seem to confirm no more arms have left since Kim Jong-un sent three million to Vladimir Putin:***

Shipments of North Korean artillery shells to Russia that have given the Kremlin an edge on battlefields in Ukraine may have stopped, South Korean analysts believe.

Satellite photos show that the four Russian container ships used to pick up suspected arms supplies have not docked in North Korea since Feb 12.

“It is unclear if this is due to production problems at North Korea’s weapons factories or another issue,” said NK Pro, which researches North Korea and has studied the satellite photos. “North Korea does not appear to have delivered containers to the export pier during that time.”

The four Russian container ships have been named: the Lady R, the Angara, the Maia-1 and the Maria. NK Pro said that they had previously made 32 trips to North Korea since August when [North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2024/01/05/russia-bombards-kharkiv-with-north-korean-missiles/) agreed to arm Vladimir Putin in exchange for space technology.

It is believed that North Korea has sent up to [three million shells to Russia](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/02/28/jong-un-has-sent-russia-3-million-shells-claims-south-korea/), helping to give it a major advantage over Ukrainian forces who have complained of a lack of supplies from their Western allies.

Most of North Korea’s shells have been sent to Russia by ship, although NK Pro said that they may now have shifted onto its railway system.

  2. North Korea is probably out of functional artillery shells in their war reserve.

  3. Maybe trying to buy time and flimsy PR spin. Some breathing room to blame the west when the criticism comes only to send more shells when Russia is losing again.

  4. If North Korea had any brains or a sense of decency, they’d be sending shells to Russia ballistically.

  5. North Korea: “Our factories are working around the clock at full capacity to produce shells”

    1 Week later

    North Korea: …

  6. If they really provided 3 million artillery shells weeks ago, they probably don’t have to ship any more out for a while. 3 million artillery shells will last Russia quite a long time given Russia itself is also producing more ammunition right now than all other Western countries combined.

  7. iSW noted that about 20 percent of DPRK’s shells exploded before firing (either in logistics or during load).

This isn’t a good thing. DPRKs ammo has killed more Russians than Ukrainians

  8. Looked good but was shit. Half the shit was faulty, the other half didn’t work.

  9. NK is a joke. They lie like a snake. Their people are slim as slimking on a diet. Food for ammo. Their leader the fat fucking turdman is up for a meal.

  10. The last shipment was a couple of weeks ago. How long does it take to go through 3m shells? I mean, is this a logistical issue or not?

  11. “Apparently Russia could not meet their end of the deal by sending Michael Jordan”

  12. Surprised any of the shipments went by ship when there is a direct rail link across NK / Russia border.

  13. My guess is NK fatso is afraid he will have no ammo to make threats to SK

  14. The damage is done, after this conflict is resolved nk will have to pay regardless

  15. There were reports the shells they did send weren’t always firing. There were too many problems.

My guess is North Korea realized if they were sending broken hardware and ammunition to Russia, it would signal to everyone else internationally they were an easy target for invasion.

South Korea should be pleased by this. We’d probably be able to take on North Korea easier than first thought.

  16. Translation. North Koreo has decided to start stockpiling their war reserves.

  17. I doubt any stopped. Some has been going by rail. They share a border so hard to enforce by seizing a ship when they can haul it across a border.

    That and aircraft.

  18. The 3 million shells will only last Russia 1 year at 10,000 shells per day consumption. After that, Russia has the capability to make 20,000 shells per month which is nowhere near 300,000 that they need per month to keep up this level of fire.

  19. Maybe Ukraine/ their allies have disabled their factories a la stuxnet. Unlikely, but a man can dream.

  20. Maybe whatever they exchanged them for arrived and now they’re done with it all.

  21. so talks of NK being able to outproduce the west were not factual?

  22. How does South Korea get info from North Korea? Thought nothing leaves NK

  23. I’m thinking Russia oversold how much food they had to trade, and NK doesn’t have enough rounds to spare from their stockpile
