I have been leaving in Switzerland for almost two years now, with status S. My center of vital interests have been for more than 365 days. When I opened a bank account in BKB, they refused to accept my Swiss address and demanded a Ukrainian one.

Yesterday I noticed that every month they charge me 25 francs. When I opened the account, the employee didn’t say anything about this and in the brochure with service fees that he gave me, there was also nothing about this fees. FYI: I speak German good and also understand Schwiitzerdütsch. He spoke with me with Hochdeutsch.

Last year I had UBS acc, which I closed to some issues, that I didn’t like. Apparently I’ll have to open an account there again.
Although i work, but 300 SFr a year + 25 for Visa service and another 12 account service (I’m under 30) is a lot.

Is this normal? Have you with Permission B/C the same situation? And is this legal in my case?

  1. at UBS it costs more, the cheapest I found is Migrosbank with 30chf, so this looks like a good deal. Bottom line is, they don’t want you if you don’t live in Switzerland.

  2. No idea why they didn’t accept your Swiss address, make sure they change it now and the fee will go away. All banks will charge an exorbitant fee if you seem to be living abroad.
