Stolen herd, stolen livelihood.

  1. I have no idea about the general agriculture type thing.

Though would it not take a long time to steal these & be really hard to hide?

  2. This is very likely a protection racket, the cattle will be returned in a few days, and the farmer will just hand out some money to stop his cattle being robbed again

  3. There’s been a feud between them and the macroom crowd for a while, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were involved.

Edit: turns out this is a dispute between Toonsbridge Dairy and a different farmer, who is their landlord that they aren’t paying rent to. Apparently not even the first time they’ve been evicted.

  4. Note found at the scene:

“I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend in Wyoming. I hope the Atlantic is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope.”

  5. I wouldn’t worry about it, after a post in the journal they will be found safe and sound in their boyfriends around 4 o clock.

Edit: love the downvotes, but there you go. Heard they have been returned safe and sound.

  6. UPDATE 1.45pm: According to a post on the Toons Bridge Instagram feed, the buffalo have now been recovered.

  7. Check out their Instagram, the owners of the land seemed to take them and dumped them back to toons Bridge. Seems like they weren’t paying their rent

  8. Strange story. They were stolen and then returned by the owners of the (rented) land they were grazing on. Sounds like a lease dispute!

  9. Apparently they weren’t ‘stolen’ and there were no thieves involved. The people were the owners of the land they were renting, and they were essentially evicting them. The buffalos were dropped outside the original owners house recently.

Whether they were lawfully evicted or not, ‘stolen’ is a strong word, and it seems like they might be just trying to get sympathy online.

  10. Stolen milk from animals that make milk to feed their young – but then their young are also Stolen to ensure that humans get to stick their mouths on the teat of the cow/buffalo
