I honestly don’t know what the right thing for us to do is here… do we send troops? Let Haiti sort this out? Wait for another country to invade? Offer them Half-Life 3 if they’ll stop the violence?
Has to be a UN sanctioned force, preferably from many African countries.
Haiti is lost, has been for a while now.
It’s kind of crazy that it shares the island with another country that does not have nearly as many problems. What is happening in Haiti that isn’t happening in the DR and why?
They’ll always be a mud-eating dystopian country.
I acknowledge having not been reading up on it, but I thought the Haitian government had effectively collapsed, in which case who was funding prisons? Clearly someone was, so I have a misunderstanding to correct.
