Biscuit, a toy that travels the world by being passed from hand to hand, visited Sofia last week. During his stay, Biscuit strolled through the lively streets of Sofia, admired the breathtaking landscapes, and most importantly, embraced the local customs. The highlight of his journey was acquiring a Martenitsa, a symbol of health and the arrival of spring, which he carried with him.
Traditionally, on March 1st, Baba Marta Day, Biscuit passed the Martenitsa to the next participant of his adventure from England. It was a wonderful way to share a piece of Bulgarian culture and spread the spirit of spring and well-being across borders.
Biscuit continued his journey, but the memories and traditions of Bulgaria will accompany him wherever he goes. It’s incredible to see how small signs and gestures can unite us worldwide, celebrating our cultures and histories that bind us together.
Thank you, Bulgaria, for being part of Biscuit’s adventure and for showing him the warmth and richness of your traditions. I will continue to post updates on Reddit in the thread of the country where he is, as well as on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/biscuitroams/. Follow him to stay up to date with his adventures.

A little backstory: not long ago, my wife and I had the idea to create a toy. Its name is Biscuit, a charming piggy we crafted together. The mission of Biscuit is to travel around the world, passing from hand to hand, in order to connect people globally, showcase the beauty of our planet, and share fascinating stories and facts about various places.
For this purpose, we created an Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/biscuitroams/ where all updates and adventures of Biscuit will be posted. Additionally, on Imgur and Reddit, I will compile and publish complete stories.
Biscuit also has a small backpack, which participants can use to exchange small souvenirs and magnets from different countries!
Biscuit has just begun his journey, and we currently have few volunteers to take him along. If you have friends who love traveling, perhaps they would like to take Biscuit with them!
Yes, and Biscuit is quite small, standing at a full height of 18 centimeters. He easily fits into a briefcase, and there is a carabiner on his little briefcase so that he can be attached securely.
