WARSAW, Poland (AP) — A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing and critically wounding an Orthodox Jewish man on the streets of Zurich, Swiss police said Sunday.

Zurich police said in a statement that they suspect antisemitism as the motive in the stabbing attack that occurred Saturday evening.

Police said they received a report of an argument involving several people at 9:35 p.m. According to their initial findings, the perpetrator attacked the 50-year-old man “and critically injured him with a stabbing weapon.”

  2. I am so asmhed right now. It’s obvious that as a society we have a huge antisemitism problem and most people who are honest with themselves are very clear where is coming from. I do think our government should wake the fuck up. In less than a month we have seen a lot of violence for a small country like switzerland (the guy who kidnapped the people in Vevey, violence in Chiasso, violence in Lausanne)…. switzerland is changing

    By the way, the RTS should be truly ashamed for the way in which is managing this news. A man from a minority was almost killed and it’s like the seventh news scrolling down their front-page, completely omitting any kind of info and testimonies on the aggressor. I was on the fence but I will vote to defund them as I think they are too politicized.
