Catholics telling you they are theology experts while not even knowing that good works or confessions won’t make them go to heaven (Jesus died for our sins, just true faith is enough, good works done by a true believer are merely an expression of their faith) and being members of a confession that used to actively discourage studying the Bible to the point where translating it was banned and mass was held in Latin to prevent people from understanding the verses (peddling absolvences would be hard if the peasants knew that it doesn’t help).
