  1. [Nationalism and the middle ground will win it](https://talk.hyvor.com/media/website/6735/lhG6QttruaDANk8NKomw7t52nf9TJsC9cNS37Mqd.jpg).

*”A majority of people (52%) say they aspire to Irish unity at some point in the future with 44% stating they will always support Northern Ireland remaining in the UK.”*

*”Some 71% of Alliance, 72% of Green and 94% of SDLP voters aspire to Irish unity. Just 11% of Alliance supporters say they will always want Northern Ireland to be part of the UK.”*

The middle ground statistics of 71% and 72% for it are crazy numbers. A look at [second preferences being majority to Nationalist parties](https://talk.hyvor.com/media/website/6735/AMqFlMM1kW3Www3x8k5FII5Hy0ChrLpoi2X4Nhrm.jpg) was a decent hint to it but it is massively for Irish Unity now.

  2. I guess that’ll make it easier for the DUP propagandists.

I vote Alliance and I’d describe myself as a moderate unionist but I’d be open to a United Ireland if it’s shown by the experts in such thing’s to be the better option. I’d say most people will vote with their pockets rather than their hearts.
