The bone/jaw is the size of a size 41 shoe, feels hard but can break without too much force and the teeth are low in the middle and high on the sides.

  1. looks like a horse jaw to me
edit: could be any grazing animal, the size is obv too small for a full grown horse.

  2. Looks like a cow mandible to me, but it also looks like it’s been in a bog/swamp for a long time.

It’s hard to tell without some dimensions though… the mandibles of cows, sheep, deer and horses all look very very similar.

  3. Looks a bit like a horse, but could be a cow as well.

Edit: I just noticed you specified the size, it’s too small for either of them, my guess would be a goat or a sheep

  4. Horse or cow of some sort. Where and how did you find this?

  5. At first glance, armadillo. But I think some kind of horse-like animal

  6. It’s an old mammal-herbivore mandible. Judging by the sand in the picture I guess you found this on the beach somewhere? That’s an indication that it could very well be a pleistocene find from the doggerbank, but i’m no expert.

  7. It’s a bovid mandible, depending on size and a few other factors it may be one of multiple species. You should show the chewing surface and the other side for a more fitting identification. Oh, and a photo with a ruler please!

  8. Horse? Idk i only roughly recognize the shape from some videogames
