[France] Husband’s Canteen Lunch — I had lunch too! Beef Saute, Cream of Sweet Potato Soup, Fries, Hazelnut Millefeuille, and Passionfruit Panna Gotta

  1. I go to my husband’s office to have lunch with him every once in a while. I wasn’t too hungry this day (and the portions are BIG) so I just got a bowl of soup with a goat cheese toast, a side of fries, and a hazelnut cream dessert… and they offered me a delicious mushroom sauce to go with the fries which I could not turn down. My husband got a sautée with beef, beans, carrots, and noodles, and for dessert a passionfruit panna cotta. Everything was delicious and around 10 euros for everything!

    Are those toasted almonds on the goat cheese toast. Did you dip it in the soup? Sorry for all of the questions, just trying to to live vicariously through your picture lol.

  7. Looks amazing (especially for a canteen!), the French institute of my city has a small bistrot which is probably my favourite place to eat out.

    The panna Is “cotta” though, it means “cooked cream”. “gotta” means “gout” probably a typo but made me smile
