Daugavas salidojums Murjāņos:
The reunion?/get-together/meeting/event (meeting would be the most direct translation) of Daugava in Murjāņi
“Murjāņos” is spelled without the appropriate diacritics and with incorrect word order if read from top to bottom as would usually be the case. Perhaps put together by someone with little knowledge of Latvian or with little consideration, although the word order could just be for emphasis and the lack of diacritics due to technical limitations.
The river Daugava is also nowhere near the town of Murjāņi, however, many organisations in Latvia carry this name in some form, so my guess is that this pin was made to commemorate an event hosted by one such group in the town of Murjāņi.
Cēsis 1977:
Just the name of a town in Latvia with a year. I am not aware of anything noteworthy taking place there at that time.
Thete’s a sports gymnasium from 1965.
Could be related.
