Absent that opportunity, Trump would never have vaulted to the Republican nomination and then the presidency.
3. Obama’s stature as an honest, good man who ran a corruption-free successful presidency tortures Trump. Obama is the opposite of the serial philandering, lying and inept Trump. And Obama won the popular vote twice, cruising to reelection. Trump knows he’s a loser and he hates losers. So Trump is obsessed with jealousy and hatred for the better man.
