Ephedrine is a stimulate that would keep him from sleeping normally.

Modafinil is not a scary method like drug at all. It was invented during WW2 like all the stimulants. It works on orexin receptor site and does not touch dopamine so no upper buzz. Too much gives you a wicked headache. The history of modafinil is inaccurate. You don’t look like a speed freak on it. They definitely looked like speed freaks and I suspect it was Adderall use or coke. Still this makes me so angry the DEA is up every prescribers ass looking for any mistake to “gotcha” us and they were so sloppy with dispensing and documentation. I know providers who have lost their licenses and been prosecuted for this same thing and they may have mistakenly not documented on like 12 patients over 5 years. Such a double standard.
