  1. Bulgaira has 6.6 not 6.4 milion, also what an amazing image to choose.

  2. Congratulations! Varna is my favourite holiday city. I go there yearly and the people there are very nice (except for taxi drivers that trick tourists, when I was dating a russian living there they never tricked us, but as soon as I go alone the prices triple. What level of Bulgarian do I need to learn to avoid it? 😂 I can buy things in stores or order in restaurants in Bulgarian but that’s as far as my knowledge of the language takes me)

  3. Bottom left infographic is wrong and useless. [Bulgaria has of the order of 15% renewable energy in its **energy** mix. The ~19% is valid for what concerns **electricity** generation.](https://www.iea.org/data-and-statistics/data-tools/energy-statistics-data-browser?country=BULGARIA&fuel=Energy%20supply&indicator=TESbySource)

On top of that, nobody caring about the environment or sustainability cares about renewable energy amounts, low carbon energy is the relevant metric and there Bulgaria scores better on account of its nuclear energy (~22% of energy and ~30% of electricity).

  4. Wtf is this post. Happy national day, here are some statistics you are behind with, compared to the EU average?

  5. That is the most passive aggressive post I’ve seen.

Edit: Now that I think about it it’s a great idea. Should do those for every country. Just to offset a bit a standard villain of the month country which we all shit on. Last month it was Poland due to farmers, before that it was Germany because atom and when I started reading this sub it was Greece. Maybe then we could shit on at least two countries in each month, so nobody feels alienated and can also shit on someone else

  6. I couldn’t tell you a single thing about Bulgaria even if you asked me, but this post is fucking gold

  7. Population 6.4 Million? I swear it was 7 just a few years ago. Bulgaria is depopulating really fast, sad.

    ~~Edit: It’s actually 6.6 Million but still~~

  8. let it to EU byrocrats to foster stronger anti eu sentiment every time they open their mounth

  9. Happy National Day Bulgaria 🇧🇬

    Greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹

  10. Eurostat: Happy national day, Bulgaria! (Also be better, because you really suck atm)

  11. Oh no….. please change the guy who makes these before he gets to my country. There is nothing ”happy” in this post.

  12. Bulgaria gained its independence in the 1877-78 Russo-Turkish War which was absolutely not worth it for Russia as the costs were huge, they became a diplomatic laughing stock, they only gained a few marginal territories and relations with Bulgaria soon soured.

  13. Only 6.4 million people? Bulgaria is huge, that is surprising, I am Portuguese and there are more of us. I honestly did not know this.
