  1. There’s no doubt he is good enough for Real Madrid.

    He just isn’t his best version at the moment. I could be wrong but idt he dribbled past any players today. That explosiveness we’ve seen, the goals, assists, creating chances just wasn’t there today. Maybe it hasn’t been there the last few games either but it’s hard to be at that level every game and people on this sub are quick with their words.

    Ancelotti likes him and trusts him a lot but I think today he needed to start brahim.

  3. Are we going to keep living in the past? Sure he helped us win that title but that doesn’t change the fact that he has not been good this season on a consistent basis. If Jude didn’t show up and we had to rely on Rodrygo this season would’ve been absolutely fucked.

He had a slow start of the season, a good month around november/december and then he returned to offer almost nothing for most of the matches. Something needs to change, Idk if it’s the position or something else but if he continues like that I’d put him on the bench like Lunin did with Kepa, so for a while. Brahim clearly has more to offer at the moment

  7. You backers are missing the point. Of course he’s on the team based on pure talent, all of these guys are. What separates a starter from a super sub is production and at this point in his career he clearly isn’t. All these guys have individual moments of brilliance to help the team. The upsetting part is that Brahim is clearly better than him at this point in time and he is still getting snubbed due to favoritism. Rodrygo is not all to blame, Carlo hasn’t done a great job of rewarding minutes to the squad in general and it’s only going to get harder for him with Endrick and others joining an already disgruntled players like Güler and Modric. Part of the fan base booed Ronaldo at points. We have to hold these players accountable or they will turn lazy and complacent like we are seeing with the highly paid players at United.

  9. People should really get a life. Real Madrid fans are just spoiled. If Rodrygo wasn’t a Madrid player, they would want to buy him immediately. He is still young, plays out of position and without a striker in the middle. Comparing him with Brahim it’s just unfair. Brahim usually comes off the bench, so he has more space because rivals are already exhausted.

    I don’t know if Rodrygo will be a starter in the future, but I’m convinced that he will give Madrid fans many great moments. Maybe more supporting and less bashing your own players? Especially during such an unexpected season. For God’s sake, the team looks practically invincible. Only 2 defeats! The first one at the beginning of the season when players were still learning the new system and Carlo decided to play with Modric and Kroos together (hopefully it was the last time). The second one came in the extra time after very demanding week (Atleti, Barca, Atleti). On top of that, the team was hit by long-lasting and heartbreaking injuries.

    Some fans even want to sell Rodrygo. The same people wanted to sell Vinicius years ago and buy mighty Sancho Pancho from Dortmund. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

  10. It’s not the height of his talent but the consistency. I think that’s really differentiating factor between the elite and the top tier of players. Many players have the ceiling, but can they stay there, can they produce results week after week after week.

  11. I think the 14th was a team effort, yeah, without his goals against City we could have lost, but also without Benzema goals, or Vini’s, or Courtois saves, or Luka’s assists, etc.

    Rodrygo is good, no one doubts that, the problem is his consistency or the lack of it, him and Vini are the main attackers of REAL MADRID, the team can’t have a player like Rodrygo who has an amazing month and then disappear for two/three months, he plays in an elite team and those kind of lapses are not of an elite player.

    You can’t say he hasn’t had the opportunities to show up because this season he had many, I admit some comments against him are way harsh but there is a reason many Madrid fans want Brahim to start over him right now and is because we can see that Brahim is having a better season than Rodrygo.

    Rodrygo is good enough for Real Madrid… as a sub.

  12. He needs to play on the left wing, he and Vini need to rotate and we need to have more natural options on the right. Vini doesn’t work in all situations and neither does Rodrygo because they each have unique skillsets. They should be alternatives to each other based on circumstances

  13. People who says but he is not “CoNsIStEnT”. Who is consistent? There are times when players are out of form, Joselu was out of form for 2-3 months nobody batted any eye. He was technically our striker – also Rodrygo is 10 years younger than that and people lose their mind. Wait for next season, with better signings like Mbappe and Davis – Rodrygo will be far better.

  16. He’s good…as the 12th member, but not for the starting 11. And we had Vazquez, Callejón, Jesé and now Brahim as perfectly fine “first subs” for cheap. Just sell Rodrygo now and take the money, that cunt mbappé is gonna take his spot in the starting 11 anyway, and we need to find minutes for Endrick and even Güler.

  22. While I’m not one of them Rodrygo bad bench him people, we can make a compilation of some clutch goals from Nacho, doesn’t mean he should start as our striker. This is pretty pointless and two goals from two years ago doesn’t actually prove your point.

  31. He’s still very young and therefore inconsistent. Inconsistencies improve as players age.
