  1. The guy is obviously driving on a road that’s for forestry and agricultural vehicles only.
The hiker is memorising the number plate and face of the driver for the police report just like every good German citizen would.

  2. I’ve always had this question for the German bros…What’s with the sandals??

  3. How many years do you get for greeting strangers in Germany?

  4. This is alien to me. My time in Germany was regularly punctuated by:

    “Guten Morgen!” _hand wave_

    “Hallo!” _hand wave_

  5. My girlfriend is from Paris and I’m from Belgium, the first few times we went out in my city I would say hello to people in the street and she would ask how I knew them. It was very confusing for her that I was greeting people I don’t necessarily know.

  6. I’m a bot, *bleep*, *bloop*. Someone has linked to this thread from another place on reddit:

  7. I’m confused. Maybe it’s a southern thing? Because in the north, not saying “Moin” to random people you meet is the norm.

  8. A German told me it is very rude to not salute people in Germany, she also told me that it is best to refer to them with the third singular person in a sign of respect. This video is now making me question her tips.

I’ll ask you lot, how should people behave?
