So we know that we have a global bee problem thanks to global warming and the careless use of chemicals in agriculture, and here we have the UK government giving out exceptions to allow the use of chemicals that will further endanger bees. As a UK citizen, I can honestly say I am ashamed of how the political system works in the UK. This exception should not be allowed. Bees before profits, not profit before bees.

Bees are fucked and I find that heart breaking.
I saw a bee a few days ago on the pavement when I was walking my son to school.
I honestly don’t remember ever seeing a bee on a freezing cold day in January in my life.
About 10 years ago where I live for a few months every year my garden would be full of bee’s, it was awesome.
The numbers of bee’s have significantly lessened over the last few years.
Not just in my garden, generally everywhere.
I have several large woods full of wild flowers nearby and in the summer they would be full of bee’s.
Again over the last few years their numbers have significantly lessened.
Ahh British Sugar, of course they get what they want from the government, got to keep the legal drug sugar flowing. I wonder by chance is the Tory party still sponsored by Tate & Lyle too?
Time and time again our government has dragged its feet on banning pesticides that are known to kill bees, while European countries saw the sense in banning them.
Every day brings new reasons to hate Tories and brexit voters. You really fucked the country up just because you’re a bunch of racists who can’t stomach living in the same town as a foreigner, or an idiot who cant spot blatant lies and forced propaganda.
The culprits are the MPs crying for deregulation since the 80s.
I have been emailing people about this for a while, why not right can’t hurt.
In fact quite the opposite. I swear if everyone that cared would write some emails and copy paste to several diff addresses we would get somewhere.
Everyone just waits for other people to do it and then gets mad when change doesn’t happen. Can’t guarantee change will happen but its far better than doing nothing.
Isn’t it funny how the MD of British Sugar is married to a Tory MP. It’s also worth noting that they also run the biggest cannabis farm in the U.K., while his wife has been vocal about not legalising cannabis in the past.

This could be a much ado about nothing, depending on how the stuff is applied.
If it’s applied to the seeds, it’s fine and doesn’t bother bees much at all.
If it’s sprayed? Bees get completely fucked.
Usually these approvals mean treating the seeds, however certain environmental groups don’t bother checking the difference before going off half cocked making us all look like cocks.
There’s a lot of hysteria about bee’s dying out, largely because of a combination of the internet echo chamber effect and some misunderstanding of key findings.
The facts are that the IPBES lists various wild pollinators as under threat from extinction – various reasons, the most common one being loss of habitat. Insecticides may also play a part as well as competition from honey bees.
Honey bees themselves however are not remotely at risk – They are a managed resource, i.e. if an area wants more of them, they simply increase the number of hives. The global population is only going in one direction and that is upwards.
TLDR – Some wild bees are endangered. Honey bees are doing just fine.
