Makes total sense. The US freaked out when there were Soviet missiles in Cuba and nearly caused a nuclear war over it. They think the other way bringing their nuclear armed alliance to the doorstep of Russia, which they unambiguously treat as an enemy, is going to be acceptable? Putin threatens Ukrain and Ukrain gets more military from west, Ukraine wants to be Nato state.
Russia claims if they don’t act now Ukraine will be Nato state and it will be too late to stop it.
Scare your neighbors first, let them be close with your enemies, then use this as a reason to your invasion. I can’t believe there are people buying that.
Either there is a solution diplomatically or invasion is inevitable. This is Russia’s public perspective, I don’t buy it though.
They just want to build a strong Russia like USSR and everything else is just excuse.
