Would love to know the back story to this. You did the interview, what was it for, whose your man and where is he now?
The lad really thought he was onto something saying they don’t want the queen over here but they follow the queen’s football teams 😂
“everyone should support Irish teams and should be ashamed of supporting teams in other countries….. But come on Celtic”

Seems like a nice lad, but kind of looks like the junkie news reporter from The Savage Eye
He seems like a nice guy. He also has a bit of a point about following British soccer teams. I’m not into football but I always cringe when an Irish person says “we won” or something similar when referring to Liverpool or Man United
Lord Doddlesworth entering the frame 10s from the end when he heard the queen mentioned.
When I worked in retail on Liffey street, he used to come into my shop and he would chat away to you he’s actually a very kind lad
Would Irish football teams have similar success as irish rugby teams if they followed a similar model? i.e. focus their player pool into a smaller number of teams and give incentives for our best players to stay in Ireland rather than play in the UK?
I know football is more popular overseas, so there is more competition, but it is also more popular here than rugby is (rugby is probably 4th after football, Gaelic football and hurling).
