Turkey lost land lol… is the biggest piece of propaganda ever told…
1920s and collapse of the Ottoman Empire – turkey held onto every piece of land the “Turkish peoples” ever had. Constantinople – extending into Greece… they replaced all Greek citizens forcing them to leave. A few nations gained independence from the Ottomans… this was never really Turkish land… or occupied really by Turkish people. It was just conquered.
What ottomans “lost” was essentially always foreign land.
Also that treaty favoured the Turks so much.
After the Balkan league decisively beat turkey – they had to pull back due to British intervention – that favoured turkey… turkey could have actually lost more historical Greek and Bulgarian and Slav land – but they didn’t.
This is simply Erdogan re-writting history – and making an excuse to behave like a tyrant – warlord – threatening the geopolitical safety and international order of the region.
Also established borders – international waters – established for 100 years does not suddenly “expire”… this again is Turkish propaganda to excuse bullying other nations.
