I was surprised how many foreigners there was in Ireland. I always read (and we learned in school) it was extremely poor for a long time and then the famine hit so everyone bolted for America. I did read about the Celtic tiger, but when 2008 hit wall Street included them in the PIIGS (Portugal, Italy Ireland Greece Spain) were going to go under because of their low revenues and real estate implosion.
I don’t know about SK but here is a real estate bubble and it’s gonna fucking explode pretty soon. Inflation 7%, wages not going up, rent is insane, nobody can afford a place to live while other people have multiple homes, inequality is at an all time high and I’m surprised people aren’t more angry about it. I feel like in Europe prolly spend up for themselves more, like in France most unions go on strike together, that never happens here.
I just want to make clear it was just an observation, it wasn’t what I expected, I had never been to Europe.
