Body cam footage from that day shows the two police officers arriving and questioning Sutherland outside. After a few minutes, Sutherland was held in a prone restraint for more than eight minutes which resulted in his death. Officers could be heard repeatedly shouting ‘relax’ while Sutherland was short of breath and audibly in distress. He died 27 minutes later at a nearby hospital. The Guardian, in partnership with the California Newsroom, have looked at cases where people have died while being held in the prone restraint, and how after decades of warning, officers are continuing to do so.

  1. Once handcuffed there was no reason he couldn't be sat up with one officer having a hand on his shoulder to prevent him standing.

  2. Doesn't matter what country there are always some police officiers that think they are above the law, that they are supposed to uphold.
    This happens too often.

  3. I dont know what happened during the time we didnt see but the police officers didnt seem unprofessional.

  4. no I refuse to verify my age.
It is the parents responsibility to monitor their childrens online activities not mine.
And those parents who do not act responsibly are guilty of child neglect.

  5. Verify your age? NO
Parents should police their own children's activities on the internet.
And if they don't they are neglecting their children.
