If we can excuse Allegri’s lack of results becuase of the players why wasn’t Pirlo granted the same leniency?

  3. Why is one random line up indicative of anything? We had Ronaldo, Dybala, Morata and a prime Chiesa. Pirlo was not good here and hasnt been anywhere else. For the love of god can people let go of this delusion that he did anything.

  4. Allegri is a far better manager than Pirlo overall, with a proven history of winning trophies. Pirlo was an absolute beginner, and you can see that he had very little success even after Juve. The decision to sack Pirlo and bring back Allegri was rational as Pirlo only got 4th place at the very last game of the season, and with a strong team. A change was needed and Allegri refused Real Madrid to come back to Juve.

    Allegri’s first season back was hijacked by Ronaldo leaving after the mercato was basically closed, which forced us to waste half a season with no top striker until Vlahovic was bought in January.

    Allegri’s second season was hijacked by Juve’s legal troubles that killed motivation to compete for the top spots.

    Allegri’s third season is when the buck stops. If we don’t win the Coppa Italia and finish 2nd, Allegri deserves to be sacked (as I think he will).
