Why is the UK government still getting away with complicity in the Yemen war?

  1. Easy answer? Because the world looks away. It’s a conflict where neither the media or politicians can draw a simplified narrative of good and evil. Our comfortable lives are not threatened, and Yemeni refugees won’t make it to Europe’s borders.

  2. The war in Yemen is a proxy war between SA and Iran, SA is the more friendly side so I don’t see the issue. Hindering SA with scrutiny and god forbid sanctions will only serve to help Iran which is no better. Which is why it’s ridiculous to complain about SA executing gays in this context, when Iran does the same.
