They even sent troops to fight the Belgian… But the Poles, under the domination of Russia at that time revolted at the same time. It was the famous failed November uprising (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/November_Uprising ). The Russian troops were sent to Poland then and Belgium was saved….
