  1. It would be a comedy of errors if it weren’t so tragic.

  2. “This is the trial for the cast of Rust who are charged with manslaughter for the judge presiding over the other trial for the cast of Rust. The defendants claim the accidentally went off while demonstrating the safety process of the guns on set when the guns on the set accidentally went off. They’re now going to bring out the guns to demonstrate what went wrong.”

  3. Moments later he was offered a new job as the armorer of Rust

  4. Is his expertise in how not to safely handle guns?

  5. I found this video strange. Surely the bailiff knew it wouldn’t actually be loaded. It seemed like an overreaction.

  6. He was then offered a position at the local police department

  7. Shit that’s my old man at the gun range lol seriously though me and the range officer regularly have to remind him to keep the barrel pointed down range.

  8. Hannah has been found guilty. IMHO she was a little bit of a victim of circumstance. She does deserve punishment and all the US states should come up with an education requirement/ certification for all employed armored in the nearest future.

  9. That’s gun safety 101. Never assume a gun is unloaded. Always know where your gun is pointed. Also know where everyone else’s gun is pointed. It becomes almost instinctive. And you immediately correct someone. That’s exactly how you see the bailiff respond in this video. That witness has no credibility at all.

  10. Not exactly helping your case when your “firearms expert “ doesn’t follow basic safety precautions…

  11. > He also disagreed with Morrissey when she asked if a gun needed to be pointed down at all times. He said a gun “may be pointed up, may be pointed back, may be pointed cross-arms… may be pointed at the ground,” citing hunter safety classes.

That… doesn’t sound right to me

  12. So umm, are there any qualifications that you have to earn to become a “gun expert” or is just something people self-proclaim after they fetishize guns for long enough?

  13. I’m pretty sure that “Expert” will be dropped from any/all subsequent trials he may be called to testify at.

  14. It was an innocent mistake. The “expert” was just a background extra. It happens.

  15. Man, the evidence against Hannah was pretty damning but still her defense team did her absolutely no favors whatsoever. It’s like they didn’t care at all because the probability of her conviction was obviously crazy high.
