It’s the strangest thing. Trump’s polls always tend upwards until he opens his mouth and says something crazy. I noticed this back when he was President.
Pretty sure this is why all his public appearances are rallies to the faithful and posts on a social media network that only conservatives use. The average guy can assume he’s mellowed, when he’s actually more batshit crazy than ever.
In truth, we are a nation of amnesiacs.
Joe Biden criticizing anyone for their poor memory is a bit rich.
>Why it matters: Biden, in what could well be the most important speech of his presidency, aims to project fighting optimism to an audience with plenty of doubts about the nation’s vigor — and that of the 81-year-old president.
Tonight’s State of the Union should be interesting,
I hope the President can make it to and from the podium and just read the teleprompter without drifting off into the woods. Watch the eyes for the blank stares and the body movements and tics for signs of too much Adderall.
I wonder if he will have a major brain freeze on the stage
Anything to make people forget genocide, but guess what, doesnt work.
Why isn’t Jill Stein or Andrew Yang the kind of anti establishment candidate people use to vent frustrations with? Have you seen the ocean surface temperatures over the last half century, neither of these guys are about to take on the car and beef lobbies. One just isn’t running on outright fascism.
Democrats claim that Trump pulled an insurrection (which he didn’t; he told them all to leave peacefully but old Twitter took down that tweet) and charge him with 90+ accusations (of which Trump has been found guilty of hardly any of them, and then only because the judges hate him), and then when the American people largely see through the Democrats’ bullshit and lawfare and vote for Trump anyways, the Democrats claim the Americans have “amnesia”.
And people here downvote without commenting.
Biden should use the state of the Union to highlight his successes over the past year and what his goals for the next year are. It really wasn’t worse under Trump and the only people who will agree with him are the people who already venomously hate Trump and were never going to vote for him any way.
“just a little bit of leftover money at the end of the month.” Well isn’t that inspirational.
Too bad Joe can’t admit Wall Street controls the economy.
Trump is trying so hard to be less crazy and come across more reasoned right now in his public appearances. No way he can keep that up for months.
