  1. Colour me surprised.

Been saying it all season, they are fucked.

  2. Think they have to sell academy players to make a pure profit otherwise they are in trouble.

  3. That club is economically over if they get knocked out of FA cup, can see them going down a division because of financial difficulties

  4. As an Arsenal fan, I don’t want any of your players. Maybe Caicedo, maybe.

  5. I’m assuming the 30ish mil purchase clause they have in Hall’s loan probably helps a long way if Newcastle trigger it (I’m not sure if it triggers automatically?)

Also the lad they have out at Dortmund will presumably be sold for a solid sum as he’s performing well.

Other than those two it could get depressing and they end up having to sell the few players who are actually performing to continue to pay for those who aren’t.

  6. As a Liverpool fan I genuinely hope that Caicedo and Lavia enjoy playing in the championship next season while we’re in the champions league!

  7. For all the crowing by some fans about our situation and ravid desire to see us get a deduction to help Luton, a fair few clubs should be praying that Forest’s argument around Brennan Johnson’s sale carries the day.

Chelsea are no doubt one of them, as otherwise it’s bargain sales before June 30 compared to decent prices near deadline day.

Plenty of clubs, probably most of them, will be in the same boat at some point; needing to sell a player by June 30 that they could get far more for a month or two later
