I know it might be early but hopefully Nagelsmann would call him at least as a backup given his performance with Bayern. I also learned from this article that we could have had stanisic playing for Germany and couldn’t believe given how horrible the German defense is.

  1. It is so frustrating that hiring a bad coach now ties the hands of the coach for the next decade due to shit decisions like this.

    Thankfully Nanglesmann will be sacked by full time of the first knockout round and hopefully Pav still hasn’t chosen in 4 months time.

  2. People really overhyping Pavlo atm. Dude is 19 and being called up to the shitshow the German NT is currently in is not a good idea. Pavlo can be called up lower level and continue developing and then get called up to the next WC (which is barely 2 years away) IF he continues playing well and developing well. The DFB needs to work to keep him, but he doesn’t need to already be called up and playing. Calling it a snub is unbelievably silly.

    These guys are raised on watching Croatian success and passion…
    Germany is Germany. Always powerhouse for the most part but they have lost a lot of their passion as of late it seems, Croatian kids including most of the diaspora dream of the day of a call up

    A guy like pavlovic being Serb may be more tempted to play for Germany if they call to get more exposure and any shade aside from a Croat, Serbia has been notoriously bad in big tournaments basically forever
