I really miss the videos of these obliterating things from the start of the war. When they were coming out I was so confident Russia was done for.
There is hardly a better symbol for the swift pace of advancement of war tech these days.
In the first months of the 2022 invasion they could act seemingly with impunity because they were among the few (readily avaiable) drone types that were produced for warfare at all, even songs were written about them. Yet once both sides got accustomed to drone warfare the focues shifted to other types of drones and electronic warfare, relegating Bayraktars to the one-among-many type of war materials.
I think the days of them chasing down targets with missiles are gone, but they have a hell of an optics suite.
These things were wrecking Russians in the early war.
I remember huge convoys of vehicles and groups of soldiers getting absolutely annihilated by them.
Of course it is. Its an incredibly cost efficient and effective platform. Just because it isn’t bombing convoys daily doesn’t mean it isn’t of significant help to Ukraine.
The one in the pic has no payloads
I wonder how many days it can fly in survelience mode ?

That thing’s got an optics payload the size of a human torso.
Must have *some* resolution on it.
Would love to see some more footage from them along with the Bayraktar soundtrack
This picture looks like a hard mf album cover hahaah
I find it peculiar that they are all driving Peugeot pickups. Did they get a large donation from Peugeot?
Every time someone mentions Bayraktar [the song ](https://youtu.be/S3FGWPMjl6M?si=fhbnVFbkmS1xWbWE) gets stuck in my head.
