According to this Youtuber, both Euronet and Brinks are charging customers with a fee as soon as they select “Cash balance” option on their ATMs.

Wasn’t aware Brinks was in the business of ATMs.
Quite sure I’ve never seen one in Cyprus, but there are definitely Euronet ones in central areas and tourists should be aware of this trick.
I thought Brinks only moved cash around and fined people for speeding.
Now they even make scammy ATMs?

There are DEFINITELY euronet ATMs in Limassol and it’s true that they have hidden fees, like 2,50 per transaction
When Russia start to getting into sanctions I used Euronet a lot. My bank covered expenses of ATM, and Euronet to withdraw my (future) initial deposit for the mortgage for free there…
Euronet can give up to 2k per transaction and one ATM can yield up to 10k. (May be more, but it was the max I saw).
That night I saw seven empty Euronet ATMs until I found one with 3k left.
Anyway, they are very useful if someone pays the fees. Only later I learned how greedy they are toward other banks cards.
