Wow two whole weeks away from the wage cage. Thank you dear leaders
>PTS wants all fathers, including those self-employed, paid 90% of their salary for six weeks, however long they have had their job.
>Research by PTS, the Centre for Progressive Policy and Women in Data suggests countries with more than six weeks’ paid paternity leave have a 4% smaller gender pay gap.
Instead of doing anything to help men support their families, lets ensure they have reduced pay in order to acheive the totally arbitrary goal that men and women are paid exactly the same regardless of work done! What could possibly go wrong?
As we all know families are more stable than ever, birthrates are at an all time high, and women’s happiness is on the up and up, so clearly we need more progressive ideas!
Extend paternity leave and you’ll get more present father’s. Will also reduce the earnings gap if dad’s more often take long career breaks for kids.
Typically the feminists at my workplace are totally hostile to anything that might improve quality of life for men. Maternity leave is 200% of the statutory minimum while paternity leave remains at a miserable 2 weeks.
