“The gentlemen under caution admitted its for personal use but as you can see its quite a lot so we’ll need to dig deeper…”

That’s what the guards think is a lot? They’re insinuating he’s gonna sell it on as a dealer? Sure they’ve got Pablo Hashcobar right there

  1. That’s not a lot for personal use. I buy my sugar (actually just sugar) by the KG and a bag could last me months, why is a small quantity of drugs proof you are going to sell it

I’d be willing to bet those Gardaí couldn’t pass the fitness test either. They should be focusing themselves on performing cholesterol tests not drug tests

Where is this clip from? I’m curious why a Brit is being allowed to tag along with the Gardaí

  2. Was listening to some of this on Newstalk. One of the Gardai were totally clueless.

She was asked about people showing positive result to the Cannabis test even though they hadn’t smoked for a few days. She said they will be feeling the effects of it – i.e. be impaired if it’s showing in their system – This is complete BS. You most certainly not be impaired if you smoked a joint 3 days ago.

Testing as it stands does not reflect the level of impairment to drive so is not fit for purpose. She needs to educate herself as she could ruin someone’s life with her ignorance.

Edit – yeh agree OP if she thinks an ounce is a dealer amount she needs to get out more, she comes across as very innocent and not clued in to reality at all.

  3. if that’s what the gardai consider a lot then we’re all fucked

  4. Is there no fitness standard for the gardai? What the fuck?

  5. That’s personal use for a big smoker who doesn’t want to run out.

  6. A lot for personal use???? Haaaaa
    😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆

  7. Forget about the drug driving for a second. It should be totally legal to have that amount of weed and hash on you.

  8. Wow, I’ll sleep easier tonight now that the nation has been saved from this nefarious individual. Yesterday I was in danger, now I am protected /s

  9. Power tripping rats.
State of them, lay off the sausage rolls and donuts you fat bastards. No wonder there’s no foot patrol in Ireland, they’re all sitting on their holes all day either hiding behind the bushes with a camera or setting up useless checkpoints.

  10. Seen more authorative people working for tescos than these two

  11. Arrested for not even a fistful of bud. World’s fucjing mental

  12. So much time and effort, and most importantly tax money(!) is wasted on shit like this. These tests can come back positive if you smoked a joint 3 days ago, 3 fucking days. I could smoke a joint in the morning and be fine to drive by the evening, it’s a fucking joke this shit.

  13. Two fat fucks holding a bit of hash. Congrats lads.

The priorities in this country are fucked

  14. Complete waste of time, money and breath. I feel stupid after listening to them.

Poor guy who is getting done for drug driving when the tests are not fit for purpose and he was ‘caught’ with a dragnet and not based on impaired driving.

  15. Waste of time, resources manpower. We could be getting rich on it by taxing it and getting productive instead of destructive. People won’t stop using drugs ever. Please stop with this nonsense of arresting people for class C ( cannaabis) possession.

  16. I’m a yank who is just after moving to your wonderful country. I have a question. Do the Gardai need to have probable cause to require a saliva test, or are they legally able to demand it without cause?

  17. I genuinely thought this was from a comedy sketch show. Scarlet for the whole of the Garda Síochána.

  18. You have to admire these two Gardai for their commitment to the stereotype. They come across as pig ignorant

  19. Let’s stop bothering people for enjoying a little cannabis. Huge waste of resources and these tests are finding people positive days after they consume when they are clearly not intoxicated.

Even if someone did consume recently I would still rather drive near them than someone on their cellphone. There is much better use of Gardai and our justice system’s time than this nonsense.

  20. An ounce will last me a month or more and much cheaper than buying deals.

  21. Seriously, how do these gardai get away with their weight? It’s crazy they are allowed to patrol the streets in their state. They wouldn’t be able to run after criminals. Enrages me that this is the standard being churned out of templemore. You need fit, able bodied gardai to catch criminals.

  22. been stoned now for over 10 years. all day every day (I have a disease)

im totally fine. 1 degree, 3 qualifications and looking to set up my own online business (not cannabis related)

This is the stupidest time to be alive.

  23. Her jacket looks like it hasn’t been washed in weeks

  24. How she’s saying it with a straight face n all, baffling.

  25. The food that guard eats is more dangerous than the cannabis shes holding

  26. What a momental waste of time and resources. Fucking embarrassing how we are still in the Stone Age
