  1. OP I feel like you’re living in a bubble, nobody knows who this is

  2. Isn’t it illegal to publish photos of your voting sheet? Surely it must be?

  3. Taking a picture of your ballot doesn’t spoil your vote. Its taking pictures in the polling stations thats illegal.

  4. It’s a stupid thing to do, but we will always have idiots on every side of this referendum and of every political persuasion.

We have anonymous voting so I don’t know how an individual ballot paper can be traced back to an individual person?

Obviously the electoral register is marked to show who turned up to vote, and the ballot paper each person receives is stamped to show that it is valid, but after that I don’t see how they can pull any persons individually marked ballot paper out, and I don’t think it would be legal to delete one ‘no’ vote on the basis of this – he could argue that it’s not his ballot, that he was using someone else’s photo etc.

    Stupid thing to do regardless.

  5. Why is that the people who claim to be the mist moral and conscientious are always the thickest morons….?

  6. Is this type of activity actually monitored for by the Electoral Commission in order for the vote to be made redundant?

  7. It’s in his benefit for the yes vote to pass. Gives him more stuff to bitch and moan about and somehow make the connection that the country is run by paedophiles

  8. Look at the penmanship on that “X”. Junior Infants level.

  9. I notice he marked the Irish side. Fair play. I don’t believe for a second he’s fluent. If you seen a guy flipping the ballot papers up & down it was likely this spa doing a translate from the English side.

  10. He actually probably would’ve been happy if he was caught and it was void because he could then say he wasn’t allowed to vote over who he is

  11. Didn’t know who he is Googled, an anti immigration guy who emigrated to Canada for 11 years after the recession hit then came back when ireland was out of the recession, sounds like a guy who is in no way a hypocrite

  12. Had a look around to try and find what law this violates. Can’t find the specific one.

I know it’s illegal but does anyone have the specific statute?

  13. Forgot all about voting today until I saw this post. Thanks

  14. Who cares. Only reason he is known is because his little voice keeps getting air time.

  15. I don’t know what someone would put it out there, that they are a bigot, small minded turd. Good to know Derek Blighe

  16. No photography and video recording has been plastered all over polling stations (atleast where I voided anyway)
