Arsed. People seem to want our politicians to eat Tesco meal deals and travel to meetings by Megabus. They’re the some of most important people in the country so I don’t begrudge them some nice grub or efficient travel. Just don’t fuck the economy with your GCSE Business Studies level budget.
As much as I dislike Truss for being an Atlas Network stooge broadly these days and getting paid accordingly I don’t have a great deal of issues with this. If the costs of this spiked as it was during the Pandemic still and there was possibly weird shit involved as a result or extra measures that needed to take place it is what it is. I don’t particularly like it, yes you’d have to question the value but what hasn’t gone up over the last decade (as the spike seems to be around Truss and her successor Cleverly’s usage of this?).
The media are really now beginning to sense the blood in the water and I think lots more of this type of story are going to be appearing. The Conservatives are going to struggle to keep up with the firefighting needed to keep it under control. I can see the polls hitting 15% or even lower. Think I might put a tenner on Rishi being gone before an election.
