The Pierre’s are one of our favourite countries in Europe for historical reasons.
My favourite country too. Want sun? Go to France. Want to ski or go mountain climbing? Go to France. Want good food? Go to France. Want to experience a cultural pillar of the world? Go to France.
Their language gives me aneurisms and when I try to go over the border, I go into acute anaphylactic shock.

in German we have the beautiful word “Erbfeind” for the French, which means something like a heredetary enemy. Basically they are enemies because our ancestors were enemies. Not because they did anything wrong during our lifetime. Beautiful concept, really.
On the other hand I recently started learning french fencing and its really fun.
So, I’m conflicted.
They are not fragile. They have actually some merits to back their arrogance. They have the best food in Europe. They have one of the most beautiful countries. What is there to not like?

In my opinion, France is the most beautiful country in the world. A country that also has the best food and the best wine. The French are intelligent people, better looking than the average in Europe and very friendly.
Europeans would do well to learn from them, rather than clumsily expressing their jealousy in the form of desperate bashing.
