I got hyped by this one even more than by City comeback,might be because we really felt like a 2nd best team until then,everyone wrote us out and of course since it was Messi’s team,tension levels were higher than ever and we pulled through,no team can repeat that.
Every damn time I watch any of KB9’s hattricks from that year I get tears of joy!!!
Maybe my favorite goal in that whole campaign(other than the last goal in this), and one that isn’t talked about much, because of the paneka penalty later, is the volley against City.
What was that? Weak foot, barely a half-chance, and absolute perfect finishing.
One of the most remarkable sequences I’ve experienced as a sports fan. It just turned so fast… for Benzema to get all three, it was as if it was scripted
First goal was great pressure from Benz and awareness from vini, second was all modric, Benz did well to stay inside tho, last one was crazy, to put it like that at his speed and body angle, insane.
You can see Benzema teary eyed on the 3rd goal. This CL run doesn’t get enough respect, people always meme about luck or friendship but this run is possibly the best run ever
The follow through look and pause from Modric after the nutmeg knowing Benz will put it in. Everything about that run was fucking magical.
