>Saudi Arabia is armed with 156 Caesar self-propelled howitzers, as well as about 100 light 105-mm LG1 howitzers. […] The United Arab Emirates has almost no French artillery system, but has a stockpile of SCALP (Storm Shadow)
Both Ceasar and SCALP seems very usefull for UAF, I hope negotiation will lead to result.
Good for France for finally stepping up
This is going to be expensive, the Scalp EG/Storm Shadow and the Caesar has proven their effectiveness recently.
Jordan and, either Kuwait or Qatar, has transferred dozens of Gepard AA-systems some time ago, so it might actually work
not sure what happened to france. but they got a fire lit under them lately. Great!
If this includes old Toyota pickups russsia is toast.
Jordan has alot of probably capable British tanks in storage. But i suspect rifled 120mm is difficult to get.
If we focus on what France has actually done we will find it to be lass than most other European countries. They, together with Germany and doing very little and making more noice than anyone else. Please focus on countries that actual give a fuck
Team Macron while Mr Scholz desperately seeks to find his balls.
I’m not entirely sure how this is supposed to work. Because of OPEC and various leadership shitty-ness issues, virtually none of the Arab states want to be seen providing material support to Ukraine (even Morocco sent some old tanks and parts but then denied it).
Is France going to just say to the Saudis and Emiratis “Hey, remember that equipment we sold you a while ago. We want it back now so we can transfer it to a country who was invaded by a country you’re in bed with”?
Love how France just kicked it into a higher gear all of a sudden. Still not going at max speed, but we are going faster.
Thanks goodness for the French! Like the ships coming over the horizon all over again. (Sorry. Am American.) Glad to see a strong democratic leader. Keep up the good work Macron!!
